I am scrubbing a 150 year old door with the same amount of paint. I used a liquid stripper which is messy and takes a lot of steps. I heard about Smart Strip and decided to give it a try. It's very easy to use, doesn't smell and doesn't sting if it comes into contact with skin (I work with gloves, but that happens with liquid detergents). The door I'm removing the paint from is a 9 foot tall door about 32 inches wide. The Quart gave me a nice thick coat all over the door. As I said, there is paint on this door that is over 100 years old. I painted the door with Smart Clean and let it sit for about 15 HOURS. The product separates immediately with a nice dry film. Super clean and no dirty cleaning. This worked great removing a few layers of paint, but I still had some paint on the door. that I had to stop the sweep. If there hadn't been so many layers of paint I'm sure the Smart Strip would have removed the paint down to the wood. I would use this product again for less demanding work. Works perfectly. I love how easy it is to clean.
