These filters are designed for professional air purifiers. These Hepa filters are advertised as removing very fine particles and working with toxins and pathogens. I've used them in combination with activated carbon filters to remove the smoke smell from my home after it was surrounded by wildfire. These filters and washing every piece of fabric in my house with baking soda and vinegar has resulted in removing the smoke smell. I didn't have to change carpets, mattresses or upholstered furniture.
