Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Optimal Breathable Airflow Herb Keeper Preserver for Maximum Freshness with Water Line Control, Refrigerator Storage by Karen Johnson

Works but too big for practical use

We use a lot of cilantro and it doesn't freeze well so I try my best to keep it fresh. I usually keep it in a jar of water in the fridge with a plastic bag over it as a tent and it keeps for about 2 weeks but it's clumsy and my husband sometimes knocks over the jar which makes a mess. This is the best solution because it holds herbs well and stays upright (so no mess). There's enough cilantro to last a couple of weeks, so I can buy a few bunches at a time and not have to go to the store every week. It works, but it's too big (and frankly too heavy) to use regularly. It's so tall that I have to give up the limited top shelf space I have (where different types of milk, cream, and juices go) to store it; it's also quite wide (so it takes up about the same space as an OJ box). It's hard to pull and pull (especially when I have to move other heavy things to get at it). It's a good idea, but after the first few uses we shelved it and stopped using it because it doesn't fit in our fridge (especially since cilantro is cheap and easy to get). If you have a lot of top shelf space, this is a good appliance for your kitchen. However, my glass water system works pretty much the same and doesn't take up nearly as much space. it's just dirtier. The quality is excellent, that's why I give it 4 stars, because it does what it's supposed to do and is beautifully finished - just not for us. Wow, made in China.
