So first of all to the people who say it sounds like a tarpaulin. There is a definite sound when it moves, but I've never encountered a duvet that doesn't. I think that's part of the charm. I've been using duvets since I was a kid (common in Europe, dad is from Germany) and that compares to what he liked to use the most. It was hard to decide which one to buy from Revain because there are so many at different prices. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to buy one for $400-500, but I didn't want cheap and crappy ones either. You get what you pay for so this duvet is very expensive for what you get. I believe that I will benefit from this for many years to come. I haven't noticed any protruding feathers and am happy with the weight/warmth. My bedroom is very cold with air conditioning in the summer and no heating in the winter (Pacific Northwest). This made me feel very comfortable in my cold, air-conditioned room. It will definitely fit for the winter. Oh, and I really LOVE loops. Am I the only one who has never seen this on a blanket? I'm so excited this thing isn't moving in the duvet cover. Sounds stupid, but it really annoys me!
