Sherpa side is warm, soft, comfortable and looks like sheared sheepskin. The faux fur sides look like someone fought a scruffy gray bear and the bear lost. He is neither attractive nor pleasant. The fur just looks sad and disheveled. In terms of warmth, this is an excellent blanket. I love all the heat levels you can choose from. Disable it every time you stop using it. It's very easy to accidentally press the controls and unintentionally turn on the blanket without even knowing you did it. There are so many soft, snuggly and inviting microfiber electric blankets on the market. It's just not one of them.
