I bought this jacket for a motorcycle tour of Utah when the average daytime temp was 95-107. It worked great. It is very light and very "mesh". This jacket isn't like the ones that say 'mesh' and basically has solid patches with mesh sleeves, the entire torso of the jacket is just 2 layers of mesh (solid at the shoulders and outside of the arms). The hands are "long" but they are needed to reach the steering wheel. I'm not a fan of collarless (sunburn) but when it's hot who needs a spiked collar? It dropped to about 45 one night on my trip and I was freezing, it will NOT warm you up, it will only cool you down. My girlfriend liked it so much that she also bought it for our trip. I don't think it will stand the test of time, but it's well made and will survive up to 12 days of daily carrying, packing and unpacking in Utah, Arizona and Nevada. The gasket is fine. I took out the "back cushion" because after packing it got a permanent crease and never lay flat again, so I threw it away (don't need it anyway, I had to be cool). I never buy white, my gear is all black. But white stays cool on those hot Utah roads in the middle of the desert where there's no shade. (I could have gone with the black too!) Because I've gotten mixed reviews about the sizing. I ordered XL and 2XL. Size XL fits me. I'm 5ft 7" with a large bust and a size 10/12. My shirts are from L to XL depending on the shirt. I bought the 2XL because I wanted to wear it over shirts and fleeces. Turns out I only needed a size XL and could layer it over warm layers (my friend mentioned above bought 2XL from me). Hope that helps!
