I have two children and both have friends that we will meet over the holidays. All children grow up, so toys are no longer an option. All kids seem to love soft blankets - they're great for snuggling, and if your kids aren't too cool you can use them as fortresses. This is a great baby sized blanket, very soft - most of the time. The design/glow in the dark is a bit rougher because there is no soft fleece in these areas. What I really like about it is that while it could be considered a 'holiday' throw as it's a soft gray color, it doesn't scream 'HO-HO-HO' at you; You can use this all year round. I'll probably be ordering a few of these for the holidays as part of nice gift bags for our younger friends.
