I only pack carry-on and use packing cubes. Believe it or not, weight can increase. I wanted something lighter and it delivered. The total weight of six cubes is less than 10 ounces and they fold neatly into the smallest cube for storage. They're very light, so if you stuff your cubes all the way, you run the risk of stretching the fabric or zippers. If you don't overdo it, everything should be fine. I particularly liked the shoe bag which can hold a pair of sandals or flip flops and a pair of hiking boots.
