This is plug and play for my bike. No wire cutting, calibration or programming required. Works as advertised but slows down slightly when shifting. Beautiful bright red display.! TO UPDATE! After some use, I'm still happy with my purchase, but the gear indicator has serious lags at times, but even with the most severe lags, it eventually syncs up without your intervention. I feel like it has more to do with the ECM on the bike and not the gear indicator itself. Daily riding is perfectly fine, even if it lags a little every now and then. Quickly switch, track days, forget.
