This memory card worked great for me! I have followed the instructions in many other reviews and waited to insert the memory card until you save a Ps1 game and it prompts you to insert the memory card which then asks you to format the card. The moment I did it works fine. I can't guarantee what will happen if you decide to install it on the system once you turn it on for the first time (after formatting you can do that), but I didn't want to test and see if anything goes wrong, so just follow the advice of the people here and you'll be fine! In terms of storage capacity, I think this is good for me; I really don't have enough Ps1 games for this to be a problem.
