I don't know how you can call this topper chilling, it was the hottest topper I've ever tried to sleep on. I lasted 2 hours before I jerked him out of bed. This thing didn't trap heat as well as my non-cooling memory foam topper, about 10 times worse! "Blue Gel" looks like they just put a stamp in a piece of foam because it wasn't otherwise. Not only was it incredibly hot, but it was too soft and I just flunked it. That was on the 2" so I can't imagine how the even softer 3" and 4" might feel. I ended up buying another brand on Amazon in 1 1/2" and it is much better! Not as hot, but firmer and more supportive. Everyone has different sleep preferences, but for me it was something I'm very happy to come back to.
