Good things come in small foldable packages

So I've been seeing these foldable portable fans all over the internet. Since it charges via USB and can run for several hours depending on your speed and jitter settings, it seemed like the perfect thing to have on hand in the event of a power outage. A half day power outage in 88 degree heat and 89 percent humidity taught me that anything that can move stale air even a little is valuable. It does more than that. The fan itself is 20cm in diameter, which doesn't sound like much, but it produces good wind. You can set it low or high with the extension, and even tilt it up or down. On the highest level, it blows right at you when you're sitting or lying in bed, so that's perfect for me. There are three speed settings and then a natural breeze setting that toggles on and off intermittently so it's more like wind. What really impressed me is that the base of the fan spins, creating an oscillating motion that is typically only found on table or pedestal fans that plug into the wall. And the range is pretty good. The fan also comes with a small remote control that you can use to control all the settings except for the lights. You need to make sure the remote matches the "eye" on the base. At first I thought the remote wasn't working because I used it over the base and it wasn't visible. The light is just a USB flashlight that plugs into the USB port at the top of the base. Unfortunately, there is no on/off button. I like the ability to adjust the light as it bends in almost every direction. It can also be connected to a power supply, laptop - almost anywhere there is a USB port. The charging port is located on the bottom of the fan base. I would have preferred it to be on top or side and easier to access. I'm not sure how long it took to charge the fan to full power as it charged several hours before I went to bed and then fully charged overnight. So far I haven't run it and I've been using it for several days. He has his own limitations. It doesn't compare to a regular pedestal fan but in a pinch when electricity isn't available or I need something portable I can fold it up and put it in my bag and take it with me, I'll be happy to have it.
