I liked the sound. Not overwhelming bass, but sufficient. Mids and highs sound good too. My biggest issue with this is that when you press the buttons, the earbuds pop into your ear. I really didn't like it as it was uncomfortable and I can only imagine it only gets worse after prolonged use. I had to go to the soul because I couldn't figure out how to turn on transparency mode. It wasn't in the manual or on the website. It works quite well, but isn't easy to turn on and off when they're working in the ear. It would be nice if the Soul had an app to control it, as well as the equalizer settings. I ended up returning them due to the pressure on my ear from having to use the controls on the headphones. If they move to touch controls in the future, I might reconsider.
