These nose sticks have a reliable memory. You dip the ridged stick into the wax, wait a little for it to cool, insert the prong end into your nose as far as it will go, twist it slightly to grab any hairs, and then pull it right out of your nostril. No, it really isn't. it does not hurt! It's great to see that all the hair has been removed! I do each nose twice, one at a time. Ideal! The nosesticks come out clean, which is important to me.
