Review on Nixeus Ultrawide FreeSync Certified NX EDG34S 3440x1440P Curved Screen Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Flicker-Free Technology, Anti-Glare Coating - NX-EDG34S by Marco Browning

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent product, poor quality control

UPDATE: Buy an Acer Nitro XZ342CK monitor instead. Acer has fewer problems than this Nixeus. Having decided to return Nyxeus, he instead ordered Aser. I'm glad I did as the Acer is $50 cheaper and way better in almost every way. HDR looks more realistic with Acer, color accuracy is better, text is less blurry, and the stand that comes with Acer has height and swivel adjustments. Nixeus has red lights on the back. Ultimately, the choice of monitor is up to you. However, the Acer monitor outperforms the Nixeus monitor in every way I can think of. Good things: This is a 1440p 144Hz ultra-wide monitor for less than $600. This monitor is expensive as many other monitors with similar specs are much more expensive. However, at the time of this review, the ultra-wide Acer Nitro is $50 cheaper and might be a better deal. Since I don't have it now, I can't tell you which one to get. The particular Nixeus monitor I had had excellent contrast and color accuracy. However, these panels are unique, so your mileage may vary. I'm returning this monitor to get an Acer instead for several reasons: First, ghosting, text blurring, and white uniformity are all issues with this monitor. My monitor has a noticeably darker spot in the center when viewing a uniformly white screen. Pixel response time isn't great, and if you're doing something quickly, everything gets blurry. Also, my monitor had a bright spot on the bottom center of the monitor. It's a green dead pixel. Nixeus has a terrible stuck/dead pixel policy (you need 7 to be eligible for warranty service). Fortunately, Revain has great customer service. In short, this monitor is good value for money, but be aware that Nixeus will NOT help you with dead or stuck pixels. I am returning this monitor because of its problems.
