This is a very late review but just got around to installing and could not figure out why no voltage from solar panel to battery. All checked out OK until got to this item. Polarity reversed on this item as one reviewer had previously noted. Checking voltage at the end of the trace from the battery to the output from this item resulted in a negative voltage reading on my multi meter. Buyer beware!
