I love this dock but unfortunately I'm sending it back because it doesn't fit my case. When I remove the case, my phone connects very easily and feels stable in the dock. The dock supports Dex on phones with built-in Dex (for those having Dex issues I would suggest checking your phone and making sure you turn your phone on when it's connected to HDMI). I would say this dock will not work if you plan on leaving the case powered on. However, looking at other docks, none of them seem to support using cases. I think it's worth taking the case and removing it to use the dock. My problem is that the case on my phone is too tight and puts too much pressure on the side buttons when turning it on and off.
