I saw the perfect 5 star reviews (some unverified purchases) and thought it might be too good to be true but decided to take a chance. Unpacked, the packaging looked like it had been opened before, the item looked faded in several places, the fabric didn't smell like new, threads were sticking out everywhere! Some of them were still attached at the seams, which made me worry if my son's college blanket would hold up. The weights were unevenly distributed and were located almost on the sides. The middle felt like a typical blanket with almost no weight. The fabric was very soft and the blanket didn't get hot.
