I've had this for six months now and finally decided to give it an honest review. Undoubtedly, it filters the air perfectly. But the noise that the fan started making after a month is just unbearable. I keep this in my bedroom as my husband and I have terrible allergies and if the sound of a fan rattling on a plastic cover isn't going to keep you awake at night I would definitely stay away from it. I change the filters regularly and keep them clean and do it carefully, but the fan sounds like it's out of balance. I've been playing around with this and unless you're very mechanically inclined I don't see a way to fix this. However, I've found that if you hit the back of the device hard enough where you think you'll shatter it, the noise stops for about a day. But it's only a matter of time before I bring this thing back to its early demise.
