This isn't quite my idea of a massager as there are no rotating or pulsating devices inside. It's more like a gently vibrating heating pad designed to contour curved surfaces. The vibration (and subsequent noise) is similar in intensity to the vibration of a mobile phone. The force does not increase with vibration speed. Low speed is long (about 1 second) bursts, medium speed is short rapid (about 0.5 seconds) bursts and high speed is a chain of 4 short and 1 long flashes. The heating function works (the packaging says the temperatures are 104F, 113F, and 122F) and the shape of the massager is comfortable for the lower back and neck.
