I have a Xiaomi Mi Curved 34 monitor that supports 1440p@144Hz via DisplayPort 1.4 . This adapter + Original UpTab DP 1.4 will not run my Xbox Series X at 1440p at 120Hz. It doesn't even include a variable refresh rate option. I tried a variety of settings on both the Xbox and the monitor, including setting precision scan to HDMI, setting color depth to 8-bit, turning off 4k, and turning on FreeSync. /off in my monitor settings - nothing helps. I can only set 1440p at 60Hz or 1080p at 120Hz no matter what. I don't know if Uptab, Xiaomi or Microsoft are to blame, but this situation is just frustrating. This situation is the result of a lack of standardization. After all, the adapter works stably. But it's useless because I get the same 1440p@60Hz performance (plus variable refresh rate) with an HDMI cable. Therefore, everyone should think twice before buying a monitor or this adapter. Anything other than HDMI 2.1 monitors (which practically only exist as TVs) probably aren't going to give you the best viewing experience.
