They were delivered in just a few days during the coronavirus panic. They are shipped sealed in a plastic bag and shipped in a plastic mailing envelope. You can smell it right out of the packaging. I'd say let it dry out for a day before using it (but after the chairs are set up). They are inside out when they come out of the packaging. If you've ever worn a duvet cover, you'll understand why. They were very easy to put on this way. They look exactly like the photo so don't expect them to get stuck in the seat and they will tarp. I had no problem with any "root cushion" noises when I sat down. I bought a set of six and am considering buying more as I have ten chairs, two of which are still in good condition and not peeling yet. but I know it will happen. I took off one star for durability, one because it's a bit flimsy, and two for not having them that long to comment on their durability.
