This fixes Corvette seats (1997 thru 2003) that have "play" - meaning the seat moves about an inch back and forth which is a little scary because you don't are sure whether the seat is dangerous loose. It's not dangerous - it's caused by some rubber discs not curing properly and falling apart over the years. Your GM dealer will charge you over $700 to replace the seat mechanism, but all you need are some 5-cent plastic washers. You don't really need this kit as there are instructions online on how to make one, but the kit is worth it as it's very difficult to find plastic washers of the size you want. Installation takes less than an hour and isn't difficult if you're good enough with the tools - you don't need to be a pro. Works well and stops seat movement.
