Cable Concealer Cadillac. Almost

Initially I didn't use glue on these strips, I used screws on all of them so I didn't rate them. Last weekend I installed about a box and a half of these to run cables from one side of my bedroom to the other. so about 38 feet. When it arrives this kit is packaged very nicely and the location of the parts makes it easy to find what you want. Again, I only used screws to attach each strip because I've had bad experiences with removing adhesive strips in the past. from the wall. Covering a hole with putty is a lot easier for me than cleaning these things after many years. Setting up each track was easy. I would drill holes at each end of the strip. Align the trace where I wanted and drill a hole. Very easily. I'll be painting soon so let me know if there are any problems. I'll try without sanding a small piece first to see if I can save time. A few issues I encountered: - The smell of this thing when you open the box is very strong. I left the box open in the garage to get rid of the smell before installing it. - Screws suck. I hit the hairpin several times, so there was no anchor. When I screwed a screw into some of them, the head broke. The screws are conical. When tightened, her caterpillar was bent several times, causing the cover to dangle from the caterpillar. I think pan head screws are a better choice. I have tools at home, but I call myself lazy. I used the supplied saw boy. I was sad. It works best as a pull saw and the teeth are too big to get stuck. If they included a saw with smaller teeth it would be easier to cut. - The anchors provided are not the best. On a couple of screws I couldn't tighten them because the dowel started twisting in the hole. I used the correct drill bit for the entire section they specified in the instructions. Overall a good product but could use some improvements. It works best as a pull saw and the teeth are too big to get stuck.
