Review on PHF Velvet Heavyweight Bedding Burgundy by Desiree Jones

We received a new duvet and I chose this duvet cover. However, it's summer now so after a few weeks of use we decided it was too heavy for the summer so we went to a hardware store and bought a lightweight cotton case. Despite this, this duvet cover is pretty good and I will use it in winter. The velvet is soft and honestly not too heavy (maybe too much for summer). The wrong side is the usual brown fabric. This king size duvet cover has EIGHT drawstrings which is great. In fact, I was frustrated that the duvet I bought only had four loops instead of eight because the duvet slipped a bit into the duvet cover when pulled under the chin. You definitely need 5-8 loops, but oh well. At least I tried this case. However, I will say that this coating itself is a bit slippery. We've found it tends to slide down the foot of the bed and then is difficult to pick up. Our current lightweight cotton duvet cover doesn't perform as well. So my point is that this cover will probably work a little better if you have a stand to keep it from sliding off. Overall, while it feels luxurious, a warm duvet cover for the colder months, and they took it a step further by adding extra king-size ties. Also, the price is okay for what you get. We paid more for our lightweight cotton duvet cover at Homegoods than I did for this one.
