It just didn't work for me

Unless I'm wrong about compatibility, neither of the two adapters that come with it will work if I connect an HDMI cable to them and then to my monitor's DVI port. The cable supports HDMI 2.0 and I understand that HDMI 2.0 is backward compatible with all versions of HDMI. I know it's not an HDMI cable because I plugged it directly into my TV which has an HDMI port and the cable works great. . But when I connect to this adapter and then connect it to my monitor, I'm just greeted with a black screen. Again, none of the adapters worked. I restarted my computer several times to again make sure everything is safe and quiet. Nothing. I have no choice but to give 1 star and I almost never give 1 star for anything. But if it doesn't work AT ALL, what choice do I have for my review?

Pros

The HDMI to DVI bi-directional adapter is a great solution for connecting from a computer with a DVI port to a monitor, HDTV or projector with an HDMI port, or from a computer, Blu-ray -Player, TV box or games console with HDMI connection to a monitor with DVI connection. Requires HDMI cable (sold separately)
