Cool enough even a teenager likes it.

This was a Christmas present for a teenager who has very limited interests. We liked the jellyfish exhibit in our zoo, which is no longer there. So we thought it would be fun. It's a pretty cheap build, all plastic, but the price was pretty cheap too. LEDs and water movement make these two jellies almost real. It became his nocturnal relief. Remember that you must follow the instructions carefully and the recommended distilled water is a must. First flush it with water and run it to remove air from the system. Then drain and slowly fill with distilled water avoiding bubbles and run the system again to purge air from the system. Then add 2 small drops of dish soap and leave for a few minutes. Then rinse 2 jellies and place them on the bottom of the container with a straw. We stuck the tentacles into the straw, turned it upside down and gave it a shake or two to deflate the skirt. The next day we had to repeat the straw trick because there were some bubbles on it and they stayed up. It's been 4 days and everything is great.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
