To be honest, when the box arrived I was very surprised because it wasn't as heavy as I expected. I had to open it up to make sure it was a playpen with a mat. Of course, when I opened it, I saw pieces of steel tubing. I'm glad the playpen mat is the version with reinforced edges because I've found this type to be much more durable than blankets without reinforced edges. We tested several of these playmats because of wear and tear in high-traffic areas or when heavy objects are placed on them. It's never cracked or anything, just a little flattened and faded in places that have been stepped on a lot. I'm just glad the playmat they include in this set is a more durable version. I'm just really happy with this whole set because it includes so many extra accessories like dice balls, soccer ball, hooks. etc. This is also the first time I've seen a playpen with soccer goals and a basketball hoop AND a zip entry. It's a bit smaller so I'd recommend getting one as early as possible so your child can get the most out of it, but as they get older they may need more space. It was a lifesaver because I had to run to the garage countless times to do my laundry, wash the dishes in the sink, cook dinner, and it was much safer and more comfortable to let my toddler play in this playpen . I really think this is one of the best value gaming pens I've seen.
