I bought these and they worked great when first installed. Then, after a while or a few cycles of powering off and on, the Epson NX420 says that the cartridges are not recognized and that it only recommends Epson ink cartridges. When that happens, I just take out the cartridges, shake them (probably not necessary, but somehow I can't help it - lol) and put them back in. The printer says it's charging them and everything works fine. This is a minimal inconvenience and is entirely due to Epson's software/hardware - I remember Epson having trouble at one point because they would actually lock the printer if they spotted an unknown brand.
