We have just installed this cat door in our basement and are very happy with our purchase. Actually the door was easy to install and the direction was very clear which made the process easy. We chose to remove the door flap until the cats get used to using the door. The door is bigger than I expected and our two cats had enough room to get in and out. One of the reasons I chose this door was that it is lockable. So if you have people around and want the cats to stay in one place, you can just lock them up for that period. I also appreciated what this company thought about door ascetics. It looks clean and simple on our white door, and they also include those little plugs so you can't see where the screws are. Our cats started using it right away and it has made our lives so much easier! I am very happy with this purchase.
