Considering today's phone prices I keep mine in an Otterbox Defender case. The review mentioned that the phone can be charged while it's on the AirPod section. This worked for my phone as well, but the metal ring that came with it got me thinking. I bought extra metal rings for the wireless charger, used one as a template, cut out the rubber case and attached the rings to the hard plastic inner case. Double-sided poster tape keeps center insert in place. Another review here noted that the more powerful "wall wart" charged faster, and I also found this to be due to a caveat about the excessive heat generated by my modified case. The included power bank seems to strike a good balance between charging speed and temperature control. Upgrade to 12 pro and this wireless magnetic charging stand makes buying a phone that much more convenient. The stand keeps all three devices in a small space and allows you to watch movies vertically or horizontally. The stand is also stable and well weighted.
