This little thing changed my life! With an instrument as thin and chunky as the Moog Etherwave Theremin, I hated screwing it in and out 13 turns on the stand — fumbling with threads, worrying about accidentally loosening the stand's height and my instrument falling to the floor would let . Voila! Now I can set up and take down in seconds knowing the brackets will stay nice and secure on my stand. After trying one for my seated posture, I bought another for my standing posture. Now the setting is Flash! Every time I install or remove it, it makes me happy. (Note that this adds a few inches to the overall height of the stand - not a big deal if you don't want the stand at its lowest height.)
