I used to have an invisible fence in another house. This professionally installed service can be nice if you're unsure, and installers can usually teach you to dig to the fence, but in my experience none of this is required. Is it expensive. It's not like this. I also like that this system is battery operated. This allows installation without having to drill a hole in the house wall to install the transformer indoors next to the socket. It also means you can place it like a real loop without having to worry about a long twisted wire connection from the transformer to your real loop.
