I'm 1.70 m tall, have a size 40 jacket and a 73.5 cm waist. Size 29x30 levy 501s. The medium fits snugly around the shoulders and arm but fits perfectly around the waist. If you have an athletic and slim build, buy your size and it will fit you. If you have a slightly bigger stomach, you can buy a shirt one size larger, or better yet, don't buy a sport/skinny shirt.
