There is nothing wrong with this shelf if I understand what it is for. It is not designed to carry more weight than it is designed to. It's a light weight little shelf and it's the right application, perfect for my needs. He is stable and solid. I'll say I'm not 100% sure it won't fall, so I'll have to add a rope at the back in case my kids don't fall when they climb it, and here's why: It's narrow, tall, and light .Unit revolution. It's just physics; not as stable as something shorter with more footprint. It's easy to put together as I've gone through quite a few of them before. I like to have several of these shelves as I love to go shopping and need space for an organizer. It takes me less than 2 minutes of my time to read the instructions carefully as the instructions are simple and clear. I don't even need English or any other language for that. Of course, no tools are required because it's so easy. It's lightweight, but I'd say the picture on the website is pretty much exactly what you can do with it. This is a tall, narrow and lightweight shelf. It won't be as stable as a wide bookshelf, but it suits me.
