My wife and I use latex foam pillows at home. They are probably 10 years old and still retain their shape and elasticity. I ordered these to replace the cotton filled pillows we use at our vacation home that are flat as a pancake. It was an improvement over the cotton pancakes, but still far from our foam experience. I will not use memory foam because I found them too hard and since I sleep on my side my ear hurts when I lie on it. I was glad this shredded memory foam didn't have this problem, but it was still pretty flat in the morning. I didn't mind that it was some kind of heavy pillow. I was also surprised that the shredded filling didn't redistribute and turn into a lumpy pillow. It was a soft pillow, a bit heavy but in good shape. It's a little thinner than I would like as a side sleeper. I would recommend this as an upgrade over the cotton filled pillow, but I'll spend the extra money on more latex foam.
