Very effective for a halogen bulb
I have been using Osram fog lights (amber) in all my cars for many years. I usually drive with HID on high beams, but I ended up with a car that doesn't accept HID updates immediately. So I looked for the best H11 bulb I could find and settled on Osram's 'Breaker' series. They came in legal packaging, stood up and lit up with no issues, just as I had hoped. Time will tell if they hold up. I don't expect them to last as long as a 'regular' lightbulb, but 6 months to a year would be acceptable with daily use.
