I had a 1st gen Apple Pencil and this is the first time I've bought a stylus for a 3rd gen iPad . I didn't want to spend more than $120 for a 2nd Gen Signature Apple Pencil, so I decided to give it a try after a friend recommended it. In the kit you get a pen, interchangeable tips and a charger. Pros: Connectivity: It connects to my iPad via Bluetooth very easily. I didn't have any connection problems. Performance: It writes smoothly and has palm rejection technology that allows me to rest my palm on the ipad. 20 hours. It's as good as my 1st generation Apple Pencil. Cons: I know the 2nd apple pencil has a magnet so it attaches to the ipad. It's not like this. You can't inductively charge it because it's not attached to it. A slight inconvenience, but nothing serious. Total product with significant cost savings.
