Review on 🐠 LED Plus Light for Freshwater Aquarium by Current USA Satellites by Marvella Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent LED lights. Tremendous value!

I received the 48" version for my 60" 110g freshwater aquarium. I am really impressed with the quality and value of this light. The remote control has a lot of nice features, color settings, clouds, and I like the bottom right button that cycles through different color spectrums. And the light "remembers” the last setting when it is switched on. So if you use a separate power timer, the light will turn on again with the same settings as when it was turned off. I would really like to see the manufacturer offer sequence memory or a programmable timer. I want the light to turn on at dawn, cycle through a few other modes during the day, then turn off at sunset and at night. Selling it as an accessory/upgrade, not as a stand alone model so I don't have to buy another one. :) The light itself is bright enough on the "Sunshine" setting. Ideal only for fish and probably suitable for many plants. But if you build a tank with plants, you should check if the performance is enough. You may have to double down and get 2 lamps. These lights are so thin you could fit 2 or 3 rows of them on a tank. For example on my 60" I could easily mount 3 of the 48" lights on top of it. I just have to move the light to open the lantern jar. Lanterns aren't heavy, so you can. Another advantage of this flashlight is that it is absolutely silent. There are no fans. My previous flashlight had a fan which was a little annoying. Therefore, in my case, this lamp is perfect for a bedroom or a quiet office. Another interesting feature is that all remote controls are the same. So if you have several lights, you only need one remote control. He will control them all at once. I think if you wanted to control each tank light separately you wouldn't be able to do so unless you had the wired remote version. My only real issue are the extensions that pop out to fit wider tanks. My 48" light needed to fit a 60" tank, so I lengthened the sliders 6" on each side. It works well enough but is a bit flimsy. in place, you can't see or touch the extensions, so they're probably fine. They just don't inspire confidence. I'm not sure I would trust them without the glass roof underneath. Overall this is tremendous value and I would highly recommend them to anyone other than the much more expensive flashlights. Happy fishing!
