There were no instructions but it was quite easy to figure out. Bolts front and back, but I'd like the bolts and nuts to go straight - that seems wise, but for some reason that's not an option. It would also make more sense if the two pieces of metal were one long metal clamp. However, once installed it is surprisingly stable in my traditional mid-2010's office chair and seems solid enough for the price. I hope this continues for some time.
