I bought this stool for my daughter in her dorm to help her climb onto the loft bed. She moved into the dorm on January 16th and the stool broke on January 19th. She weighs 115 pounds so I can only believe the quality of the chair wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It looks just like the photo; If you just want to use it for decoration purposes I think it's a good use of your money but be careful if you have to stand on it for any reason. Now I'm out of $50 and have to buy another stool for the rest of the semester.
