Pros: Recording quality is acceptable, lots of settings. The password protection feature helps prevent unauthorized access to files. Of the minuses: 1) the recorder's battery is not designed to record for more than a couple of hours. My attempts to extend the recording time by connecting a USB power adapter to the recorder were unsuccessful as the recorder's tiny battery, when dead, no longer draws power from the "backup" power supply. 2) After the battery is discharged, the recorder will "forget” the saved time and date settings. Instead of saving these settings, the recorder will reset the date settings to the default 2017-01-01 when the battery is charged. After the battery is drained, charged, and new recordings are made, it is likely that the filenames of your recordings will be misnamed. The only workaround is to check your system settings before recording to ensure the date and time are correct. Personally, that upsets me a lot.
