You basically get what you pay for. The mesh base is deformed so the spices are not completely parallel to the horizon. Lifting the device "pulls" the mesh up, making it feel like it could fall apart completely at any moment. However, it can hold a significant amount of items. As you can see, it holds five spice bottles, a pepper grinder and a little more space. It also cuts a fine figure on the dining table and as long as you don't move it, it serves its purpose. However, do not pull on it; As another reviewer mentioned, the bottom is untreated, so the tabletop surface is easily scratched.
