When switching from Canon 1000D, I chose between 50D and 60D. So: 50D has been tested for years (body, matrix, fine tuning for lenses), while 60D has a swivel screen, wireless control of external flashes, video recording, the latter became decisive for me, and 60D won. Now impressions: 1. I have an official guarantee , manufacturer Japan, and as a result - all lenses became like native ones, i. E. no back, front focus; 2. Due to all the cross-shaped points, and the central one at f / 2.8, the number of misses has sharply decreased - the Canon 50 f / 1.8 stopped missing at an open aperture, which it could not achieve at 1000D; 3. Matrix - fears about the "looseness" of the pictures were not confirmed if you shoot "according to the rules" - the picture is sharp, "dense" and at 18 MP, and the contrast is then adjusted when the photos are "developed" (I shoot only in RAW), here Tamron 17-50 (without "stub") showed an excellent result; 4. It controls not only the "native" Canon 430 EX II, but also the Nissin 622 mark II via a light trap via the radio channel; 5. Video, in low light, writes better than "ordinary" video cameras, but this needs to be "study, study and study again"; 6. The location of the buttons, their bulge, joystick, etc. - it's a thing to come and you quickly get used to it, and the weight, with a lens, more than 1 kg eliminates hand trembling; 7. Really "working" ISO up to 3200, noise is then removed by software, which allows you to shoot in nightclubs and karaoke with the background preserved (of course with a flash), the "blizzard" on the matrix is visible only at ISO 6400; 8. In combination with the "native" flash, not only do they understand each other perfectly, but the use of accelerated synchronization allows you to shoot in the daytime in the sun; 9. Read the instructions and always with a camera in your hands - 80% of the "shortcomings" will disappear, and the remaining 20% - when you learn the correct exposure, composition, analysis, etc., here you already need additional literature :) Sample photos can be viewed here : http://fotki. .
