This is the first time I've tried a 'smart bulb' as I usually choose smart switches and smart sockets. I bought these bulbs just on a whim to see what a different light would look like while watching movies. I already have an RGBW LED strip installed behind my TV. The bulbs may be slightly less bright than standard 9W LED daylight bulbs. But not a very noticeable difference. The color temperature range is wide and contains an impressive number of colors. Of course, the colors are less strong than in white mode. The appendix consists of two sections or pages - one for whites and one for blacks. I find this more useful than trying to find white in the middle of the color spectrum. It also has some presets like reading, working, etc. I used the SmartLife app to set it up. It took me about 15 seconds to set it up. My Alexa app automatically recognized the lightbulb because the skill was already added. The number of colors in Alexa is limited. The app also allows you to use more colors and more options. The SmartLife app also lets you sync colors to match the music. This has to be done through the phone's microphone, so you'll need to grant permissions. It also works best if you place your phone next to the speakers. This is a great little feature not found in other smart lightbulbs. I'm not sure about the shelf life of the pears. Should check back in about 6 months. At the moment I'm planning an automation so that the light on the doorbell will flash / change color in case I'm working while listening to music. All in all a very good product and worth buying. Does its job and more!
