Advertised as juice bottles, they are very versatile. We use them in our RV to store a small amount of certain items (RVs are SO cramped). Juice, milk, cream, even adult drinks. They are very easy to use. They come with labels but you can write on the bottle itself very easily with a marker pen. We've tried them on dry items like ground coffee and it's problematic. It takes a small spoon to get something out of a small hole. So they are not the best solution for this; but they are not advertised for dry stuff. So plan accordingly. We love her!
