I bought a Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 especially for the African vacation. When I received the lens, I quickly realized that it would not fit in my travel camera bag. Rather than buying a new camera bag and forcing myself to check in my luggage, I looked for a lens bag that would fit in my 38L Gregory Jade backpack. I have a Nikon Z7 and to use a Tamron lens I need to use a Nikon FTZ. Adapter. This lens case easily fits Tamron 150-600 + FTZ adapter. I don't think a longer length would fit though. It's a good fit, but not so wide that it forces the case to close. The Tamron 150-600 is around 10.1 inches and the FTZ is around 2.8 inches, just to give you an idea of what will fit. I traveled around Africa for a month, climbed Kilimanjaro and visited 4 countries and never had a problem. with business. It sits perfectly at the bottom of my backpack and protects my lens (especially when I forget and accidentally put my backpack on too much). My lens made it safely to and from Africa and I 100% recommend this holdall. The bag comes with a strap but I never used it.
