everything was loose and not ready to be set up and put on. It took a little while but all the pieces were in place and we were able to clip all the straps together (then tighten the straps and adjust them to fit our son's head). We love the design and the ability to rotate to tighten for a better fit. I would like to know what safety standards this helmet meets. Despite a little work this is a good helmet and I would recommend it to other parents.
