I used to have a single pole desk mount and didn't like the monitor heights due to the rear mount. I'm sooo glad I have this! It's pretty cute! I would connect the cables first before mounting the monitor. This part was trickier when putting the covers back on when the display is in the way. The foam on the clamps could be thicker. Note the exposed screws on the top of the panel, I scratched the table turning it over. I would also prefer a monitor mounting plate so you can place it on top of the monitor and then mount it on a proper arm. This makes assembly easier. When loosening the Vcro straps, release the armrest to the side, not in front. overall a good product.
