Review on 💼 tomtoc Slim Hardshell Case for MacBook Air M1/A2337 A2179 A1932 (2018-2021) - Premium Material, Easy Installation/Removal, Anti-Scratch Protection by Brad Phifer

Received this today for my new M1 MacBook Air. This is my first Mac in a long time and I wanted something that would offer extra protection without detracting too much from the Mac aesthetic. I also got lost in the abyss or what may or may not suit the M1 MacBook before stumbling across this one. The dark gray case was easy enough to install by following the instructions on the back of the box. Below is a list of pros and cons. Pros - The M1 MacBook Air fits very well with access to all ports (see photo) - Has a nice, very light, smooth body structure. This can protect against accidental falling. - Easy to install. - Extra set of rubber feet. - Simple look with some transparency in a dark gray body. Cons: The case snaps in at the bottom just below the trackpad and protrudes slightly over the MacBook. It's about an inch to the left and right of the trackpad, but not in the middle where the shell closes (see image). This may be an issue for some depending on how you use your trackpad/Macbook. The bottom back cover under the screen has no protection (see photo). This makes this area more prone to damage. Durability, strength and protection in real life are unknown. All in all I think it suits my current needs. Only time will tell how well it will hold up and whether Tomtoc will back the two year warranty should I need it in the future.
